This March we were asked back by the University of Wolverhampton to record their business challenge ‘The Pitch’ for the second year running.
Hosted at the University’s campus in Telford, ‘The Pitch’ challenges students from schools across the West Midlands to work on a live brief, from a company also in attendance, and then to pitch their idea to a panel of judges.
This year’s installment of the competition was bigger and better than ever, with 150 pupils from 30 West Midlands schools coming together to battle it out for the right to be called the overall winner.
The companies providing the briefs were: Lego Education, the Black Country Living Museum, Capital FM, StarCity, Ultra Furniture, and the charity Promise Dreams.
After a grueling two days for both the students and the organisers, the winning schools for each brief were announced. Congratulations to:
Wrekin College, Telford
King’s C of E, Wolverhampton
Heath Park, Wolverhampton
Newport Girls High, Shropshire
Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire
for their success, and to the students at Cardinal Wiseman, Coventry, for their title of overall winner.
