Video Stats

By Matt Weston

If you’re a long term reader of ours, you’ll already know that here at Stone’s Throw Media we LOVE telling people about the benefits of video.

Whether it’s on the front page of our website, in our newsletters, or startling strangers in the street with megaphones, we’re constantly shouting about the positive effects online video can have for businesses.

Why do we do this? Well, for two reasons.

Firstly, the obvious reason. We’re a video production company – in case you hadn’t noticed – so the more demand there is from companies for promotional videos, the less likely it is that we’ll go broke and end up having to get a proper job. Hey, at least we’re honest!

Secondly, the slightly less obvious reason. We do it because everything we say is true – video really is incredibly beneficial for businesses – and now we have the stats to prove it!

Recently, we broke out of our online cycle of just visiting YouTube, Reddit, and those dubious sites banned in 13 EU countries, to go rummaging for some lovely video stats to back up our outlandish claims.

Thankfully, our research was not in vain. We collated a bundle of stats concerning online video – and, in particular, its benefits for businesses – and got to work converting those numbers into a…well….video…of our own.

You can see our effort below. Those of you who enjoy getting a jingle stuck in your head all day will particularly enjoy it, we reckon.

To be serious for a moment, we believe that the stats really do speak for themselves.

Video has become such a huge part of the internet, and it’s only going to get bigger. More and more companies are understanding this, and are incorporating video in their digital marketing campaigns.

So, if you’ve been thinking of utilising a video/series of videos for your business for a while, we believe the time is right.

Give us a ring and we’ll see what we can do for you – after all, we don’t fancy getting a proper job just yet…
