Business Achievement Awards Finalists Videos
The awards ceremony, held at the Molineux Stadium, provided the opportunity to acknowledge both individuals and organisations that have demonstrated business excellence in a number of categories – such as business innovation and partnerships, graduate employment support, and the contribution to society from the university’s alumni.
We were asked by the University to create a series of business videos highlighting the nominees of the ‘Graduate Start-up of the Year’ award.
This award focused on graduate start-ups created in the last three years that have successfully gone on to trade and grow within that time, and the three very deserving nominees were: Sensory Wise Ltd, Vital Oven Cleaners, and VOiD Applications.
Sensory Wise was created by Lucy Taylor in September 2014. Its primary purpose is to raise awareness of sensory processing disorder (SPD) by providing expert advice, information and learning based resources to families, schools, and educators.
Vital Oven Cleaners was founded by Tawanda Mhondiwa. They provide a professional cleaning service for ovens – whether they’re domestic ovens or industrial ones – and are based in Wolverhampton.
VOiD Applications is the brainchild of University friends Chris Carter, Jake Rogers, and Neil Cooper. They provide mobile applications and professional website designs for individuals and businesses who wish to strengthen their online marketing efforts.
Our business videos were designed to give the audience at the awards evening a brief overview of the companies, their successes to date, and how they would invest the £3000 prize money into their business if they were the lucky winner.
A compilation video consisting of the separate business videos can be seen above.
Having met them whilst filming we didn’t really mind who won the award, as we like them all equally! It was terrific however to see Lucy Taylor win for Sensory Wise Ltd – anything that helps families with children is alright by us. Congratulations Lucy!
Our work wasn’t quite done there, however. We also created a snappy 20 second intro sting video – which you can see below – which was played at the start of the evening just to let everyone know that the ceremony was beginning.
We had a fantastic time at the Business Achievement Awards and were thrilled to help out as best we can. Fingers crossed we’ll be invited back for the next instalment in 2017!
