Quarry Aerial Filming
Friday 12 June 2015 saw the grand opening of a state-of-the-art aggregate wash plant at the quarry, and we were on hand to capture the day’s celebrations with our drone.
The plant, based at the quarry owned by the waste management firm R Collard Ltd, was officially opened by the MP for Aldershot, Sir Gerald Howarth.
Washing plants process construction waste into a recycled product by removing contaminants and extracting the clay which ties the constituents together.
This clean product can then be used again elsewhere in future construction projects.
The wash plant, which is capable of processing 120 tonnes per hour, was designed and installed by DUO, and contains systems supplied by the equipment manufacturer Terex.
We were invited by DUO to provide some aerial filming of the launch event, as well as to interview the key figures involved in the construction of the plant.
One of these key figures was Rob Collard, owner of R Collard Ltd.
As well as being a successful business owner, Rob is also a racing driver, and a veteran of the British Touring Car Championship circuit.
Rob was on hand to give his thoughts on the plant, and to explain a little more about the work that the quarry does.
Alongside our interviews with Rob and others, we captured some fantastic aerial footage of the plant from our drone, which you can see in our video above.
We’d like to thank everyone at the quarry, and at DUO, for their hospitality on the day.
