The Pitch Business Challenge 2014 - Film Production
In 2014 we were asked back by the University of Wolverhampton to record their business challenge ‘The Pitch’ for the second consecutive year.
Hosted at the University’s campus in Telford, ‘The Pitch’ challenged students from schools across the West Midlands to work on a live brief, from a company also in attendance, and then to pitch their idea to a panel of judges.
The 2014 instalment of the competition saw 150 pupils from 30 West Midlands schools, and representatives from prestigious national firms and local enterprises who provided the briefs, descend on the campus.
The firms taking part included:
- Lego Education
- Black Country Living Museum
- Capital FM
- Ultra Furniture
- Promise Dreams charity
Our film production included us meeting up with the five companies before the event to film their briefs – short pieces to camera detailing what the students needed to tackle, which were broadcast to the students on the first morning of the event.
We were then on hand over the two days to film the student’s efforts, and interview them along the way to see how they were progressing.
For our involvement with The Pitch we created a highlights video and five episodic videos.
