We teamed up with 2AM Ltd, who are based in London, for two projects they were running for JLR.
2AM Ltd are an award winning production company, who produce high-end commercials for television, cinema, and the internet.
They invited us to collaborate with them on both projects, using our drone to conduct some aerial filming in the process.
For the first assignment, we packed up our drone and took it with us to Lode Lane in Solihull – the home of the Solihull Land Rover Experience.
At the Experience, guests are able to enjoy a guided tour of the manufacturing facilities there, and discover how all-terrain technology is assembled and packaged into vehicles.
Once the guests have acquired that knowledge, they’re greeted by fourteen miles of varied terrain, laid out in courses, which is just waiting to be tackled by the vehicles!
As you can see in our video above, which is a promotional video for the Experience, we followed some guests as they went around the factory before they got behind the wheel to test the Land Rovers out on the courses.
The aerial filming from our drone was a key part of the video. It allowed us to generate some fantastic shots of the vehicles, and gives the viewer a sense of just how big the Experience site is!
For our second assignment, we travelled to the JLR plant at the i54 business park, situated just off the M54 motorway by Wolverhampton.
Once again our drone was in action, this time for a video celebrating JLR’s status as Britain’s largest automotive manufacturer.
For this video, we were tasked with co-ordinating a visual shot which saw 200 workers from the plant forming together to make a heart when filmed from above.
This scene proved particularly difficult to film (especially with the wind causing havoc!) but we were absolutely thrilled with our results and the video as a whole, which you can see below.
We also collaborated with 2AM for a final project for JLR – the details of which you can find in our other portfolio piece, located here.
If you think aerial filming from our drone will help your business, please do get in touch.
