Ambika Paul Foundation charity video

We joined forces with the University of Wolverhampton for an online video which celebrated a cause very close to its heart.

Founded in 1978, the Ambika Paul Foundation is a charitable trust set up in memory of the late daughter of Lord Paul – the chancellor of the University since 1998.

It was Ambika’s treatment which brought Lord Paul to Britain in 1966, with the formation of his Caparo Group (one of the UK’s largest steel conversion and distribution businesses) taking place two years later.

The Ambika Paul Foundation promotes the well-being of children around the world through education, culture and health. Since its formation, the Foundation has gone on to support a number of children’s charities in the UK, as well as initiatives overseas.

Whilst receiving treatment, London Zoo became Ambika’s favourite destination, which is why in 1994 – when the Zoo was under threat of closure – Lord Paul donated £1m so that it could continue its good work in educating children about the natural world.

This association with the Zoo is why – when we were asked to create a video showcasing the Foundation’s good work at an event – we travelled down to our nation’s capital to capture some footage from the site.

Our online video – which you can view above – showcases the parts of the zoo thriving thanks to donations from the Foundation, as well as the facilities the University are proud to name after Lord Paul and his daughter.

Alongside that footage, our video is interspersed with interviews regarding the Foundation from figures such as:

  • Lord Paul (Chancellor of the University)
  • Geoff Layer (Vice-Chancellor of the University)
  • Ralph Armond (Director General at the Zoological Society of London)
  • Sarah Brown (Wife of former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and close friend of Lord Paul)

We were honoured to be asked by the University to create this video celebrating the Foundation, and we’re extremely proud of our results.

As part of this project we also created a “behind the scenes” video, which you can find in our blog entry about our day at the Zoo here.

Alongside that, here are a few images taken from our day’s filming.
