We were thrilled to be invited to the Express and Star’s Business Awards evening, a black tie celebration held on Thursday 15 May 2014 at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
The event, compered by the “voice of the balls” himself, National Lottery voiceover man Alan Dedicoat, was a celebration of the business successes the West Midlands has seen over the past 12 months.
Particularly pleasing for us was the fact that two local companies we’ve worked with in the past were up for awards on the night.
Firstly, Network Packaging Ltd, a Wolverhampton based company, were nominated for the ‘Innovation Award’. We worked with the business for their revolutionary “Airsac” product – the details of which you can find here.
Secondly, Wolverhampton Homes were nominated for the ‘Outstanding Not-For-Profit Organisation’. We were pleased to work with Wolverhampton Homes on a DVD of theirs earlier this year.
In total there were 11 awards handed out throughout the evening, and it was really fantastic to hear all the positive stories that came out of the event.
We’d like to thank the University of Wolverhampton for inviting us to such a prestigious ceremony, and to the Express and Star for the fantastic evening.
Here’s hoping we’ll be back in 2015 – maybe even with a nomination of our own!
