There are many things that keep Stone’s Throw Media ticking along nicely. A good team spirit. The use of state-of-the-art equipment. Frequent cups of tea.
Above all else however the one thing that keeps us going are our lovely clients, without whom we would be…well, not in business. Let’s be honest.
It goes without saying* that we love each and every single one of our clients who we’ve helped with our video production services in the past, but for this blog entry we wanted to pick out a select few and tell you a little bit more about them, rather than solely the work we’ve done for them, because we’re nice like that.
*Yet we then went and said it anyway, what’s that all about?
Officially opened by the Duchess of Kent in November 1982, Compton Hospice has been providing nationally-renowned care to patients across the Black Country for 35 years now.
Based in Wolverhampton, the Hospice provides a range of services including…
• In-patient care
• Day care
• Home care nursing
• Medical outpatient care (and home visits)
• Lymphoedema treatment
• Bereavement support
…and more, all of which are available free-of-charge to a catchment area of 1.3 million people. Now that’s impressive!
We’ve worked with Compton Hospice on a number of projects (including the very successful ‘Straight Outta Compton Hospice’ video) and the team there are always a pleasure to deal with.
It takes over £6m every year for Compton Hospice to provide its services to patients free of charge, so fundraising is of vital importance to them.

One of the 12 founding members of the Football League back in 1888, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have since gone on to become a household name across Europe.
With 10 league titles, 4 FA Cup triumphs and 2 League Cup wins under their belts, Wolves are one of the most successful clubs in the country and, thanks to their “old gold” kit, one of the most recognisable too.
There’s more to Wolves than just their on-field performance, however. We’ve worked with the corporate arm of the club in the past regarding a video designed to showcase the club’s non-football facilities – a video we’re really proud of!

Field Studies Council (FSC) is a registered charity based in Shropshire which is committed to helping people of all ages understand (and be inspired by) the natural world.
To do this, it provides educational opportunities in the great outdoors across a network of learning locations found throughout the UK.
Each year, over 140,000 learners get the chance to access a range of offerings provided by FSC, such as…
• Natural history courses
• Family holidays
• Professional training courses for educators
• Identification guides
• Free to use resources
…and, primarily, “outside the classroom” learning experiences for students of all ages.
FSC believes that the more we understand about the world around us the more we can appreciate its needs and protect it for future generations, and quite frankly we couldn’t agree more!
