Here at Stone’s Throw Media we’ve been using the power of charity videos to help support a really terrific event close to our hearts.
Just before the turn of the year (2013) we went to Kings Heath, Birmingham, to film a football match organised in aid of charity.
The match saw Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice pitted against a team of Aston Villa legends, called Aston Villa Lions and Legends.
The game was organised, superbly, by Kieran Lavin.
His efforts in getting the likes of former Villa heroes such as Steve Staunton, Lee Hendrie, Tony Morley, and Ken McNaught to feature in the game helped to draw a large crowd to the event and created a fantastic atmosphere throughout.
Kieran’s efforts were well rewarded, with a total of £6569.24 raised by the day’s proceedings – a truly phenomenal figure and proof of the hard work Kieran put in in organising the event.
For our donation to the event, we produced a full length DVD, complete with interviews, as a memento of the day.
We were really proud to be part of this fantastic event and to create our own charity videos for such a worthwhile cause. Our thanks to Kieran for his hard work in organising such a fantastic day!
