Recognition of Prior LearningProject
Animated Video Production
We teamed up with the University of Wolverhampton for this animated video production on the subject of “Recognition of Prior Learning” – “RPL” for short.
The University recognises the value of prior learning and the importance of making that learning count. Those who have previously studied elsewhere or have gained expertise in their professional role in the workplace can be eligible for RPL.
It could count towards another qualification, and help to accelerate studies. For example, instead of doing a three or four year degree, someone with accredited prior learning may wind up studying for only half of that period – which is great news for learner and employer alike.
We were approached by the University to try and portray the RPL initiative in a creative manner. We felt that animation would be the best way to demonstrate this, so we created two fictional characters – Bella and Eddie.
Our videos follow Bella and Eddie as they progress through their careers, highlighting the learning that they have acquired throughout their working life and how it can benefit them in the future thanks to the RPL scheme.
It’s always fun creating animated video productions, and this one was no different in that respect.
