We teamed up with SEaB Energy, a company who specialise in processing waste into energy, to create a 2D animation detailing who they are, what they do, and how they do it!
Formed in 2009 by Sandra and Nick Sassow, SEaB Energy are the market leading company when it comes to transforming onsite waste into energy and water.
They are currently located at the University of Southampton’s Science Park, a hub for “cleantech” innovation in the south of England.
SEaB got in touch with us regarding the creation of a video which would explain what they do and the technology they have patented to show how they do it.
This video could then be used in future marketing campaigns and special events – including in a presentation the company were delivering in front of representatives from Google.
We decided that the best way to tackle this project was through the creation of a 2D animation, which would focus in particular on SEaB’s two patented Anaerobic Digestion (AD) systems – the “Muckbuster” and the “Flexibuster”.
As explained in our animation – which you can see above – the AD systems are onsite devices which convert waste (such as food waste or sewage) into useful items (such as fuel or electricity) through the creation of bio-gas.
The devices can convert between 200 and 1,000 tonnes of waste per year, and help to reduce a company’s costs and enhance their sustainability.

This was a challenging project, and as a result a particularly enjoyable one too!
There was a lot of technical information to get across in the video in a short space of time, and it was tricky to convey it whilst also making the animation light-hearted and enjoyable to watch.
We really like this video though, and felt it turned out really well, particularly when rounded off with a professional voice-over and jaunty music!
If you agree with us, and would like a 2D animation of your own, we’d love to hear from you!
