2017 marked the third instalment of a regional arts festival and we were on hand to capture some video highlights of it!
Created by the University of Wolverhampton in 2015, ‘Artsfest’ is a festival – held over seven weeks – which aims to capture and celebrate the creative and cultural spirit of the Black Country.
Led by the University’s Faculty of Arts and in collaboration with local venues including the city’s Grand Theatre, Mander Centre, and the Light House Media Centre, the festival showcases a number of artistic events to the general public such as Music, Dance, Theatre, Film, Fashion, Art and Animation amongst others.
When the team at the University’s Faculty of Arts got in touch with us to ask if we could create a highlights video of the 2017 Artsfest for them we were more than happy to help!
Our video highlights – which you can watch above – are designed to showcase the wide range of activities which took place during Artsfest in a fast paced and up-tempo manner.
Alongside capturing the highlights of the festival, we also conducted a number of interviews with those responsible for putting on the extravaganza.
In the video below, we hear from the Venue Manager of the Arena Theatre, Neil Reading, who tells the viewer a little more about Artsfest and the cultural happenings in Wolverhampton.
Our video highlights, were greeted with a positive reaction by the organiser of Artsfest, Fran Richards, who described them as “a great way to record the success and impact of the festival visually.”
Enjoyed our video highlights, and think your organisation could do with some of its own to help capture an event you’ve put on?
If so, we know that we can help!
