Our Brief

We created a series of videos to support the University of Wolverhampton on a marketing campaign in what has to be one of the most exciting projects we've worked on. The aim was to help recruit new students to The School of Engineering.

Following investment by the University into their very own Formula Renault racing team, our job was to show the level of engagement and involvement that students have with the team to give new prospective students a real flavour of what to expect. We went to a test track day at Donington Park in the East Midlands to film what was going on. We then visited Telford for a separate shoot in the team garage at the home of The School of Engineering.

Our video production work included a short promotional video, a video featuring interviews from the team and separate video interviews. These included video interviews on telemetry, tyres, engine and aerodynamics. The videos are being used as part of an email marketing campaign to applicants. We believe our video production work will give the applicants a real insight into the courses on offer and get them really excited. In fact, we're so excited we're all thinking about quitting creating videos and taking up the course. Though none of us are real men and understand what complicated tools like spanners do. We had best stick to videos then.

The School of Engineering are launching a number of exciting degree courses in 2015, giving students the chance to gain practical vocational engineering experience by working as part of our professional Formula Renault racing team. They will develop engineers who have the skills and knowledge to make an immediate contribution to industry. This is a once in a life time opportunity to put the theory into practice in a fast paced racing environment.

From October 2015 you will be able to study the following courses at UG and PG level:

• Motorsport Engineering,

• Automotive Engineering,

• Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering,

• Mechanical Engineering,

• Mechatronics.
