International Women's Day Video

International Women's Day Video
Briggs
Our Brief

Briggs wanted to make more people aware of International Women's Day and show what it means to Briggs employees. The International Women’s Day video would include interviews with five different Briggs employees across the business; each one talking about their story and what International Women’s Day means to them.

Briggs Equipment is the exclusive national distributor in the UK for the Hyster and Yale ranges of forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment. The Briggs Equipment Group has grown significantly in recent years through the addition of businesses that compliment their customer activities.

International Women's Day Video

To celebrate the contribution of women in the organisation, Briggs wanted an International Women’s Day video that could be shared both internally and externally.

#BreakTheBias was the theme of International Women’s Day 2022; to actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping whenever or wherever you may see it.

With 8 subsidiaries and many different services, Briggs wanted an animation to show to employees across each of these and explain why there would be a digital transformation.

20% of the workforce at Briggs are women, so they were all reached out to in order to see if they wanted to take part in the International Women’s Day video and came back with an overwhelmingly positive response.

We received pictures of women from all across Briggs holding cards with words they’d chosen about what it means to be a woman.

Alongside the five women interviewed for the video, the ladies holding cards worked in every facet of the Briggs organisation.

We spoke to the ladies about what International Women’s Day means to them and their career stories.

The boards used in the cutaways were courtesy of Briggs Printing conveniently enough, so they were all ready for the day of filming.

The video was shared on the Briggs website and across their social media channels.

Mike, who led the project, said

“Usually we have to work hard to convince people to get involved in the videos we make, however that wasn't the case with this one. The women at Briggs really wanted to get involved with the project and made sure that everyone had a voice. Filming was very full on, as we had a lot of people to film and different locations to cover, but because everyone was so willing to help we got it done.”
