University of Wolverhampton and MorganProject
We joined forces with the University of Wolverhampton for a corporate film regarding their partnership with a world famous car manufacturer.
Based in Malvern, Worcestershire since its formation in 1909, Morgan Motor Company has been a British institution for over a century, developing a global reputation for its hand built vehicles in the process.
Famed for their craftsmanship and the performance of the vehicles they create, today Morgan build in excess of 1300 cars per year – all of which are created at their Malvern headquarters.
In 2014, Morgan teamed up with the University of Wolverhampton as part of the KEEN initiative – a project which saw the company being provided with a dedicated marketing programme and a University graduate to help them implement it.
Since then, the relationship between the two has strengthened, leading to the signing of a 2016 partnership agreement which provides the University’s engineering students with the chance to work alongside the company’s craftsmen on a range of Morgan vehicles alongside other benefits.
We were approached by the University to create a corporate film for the institution regarding its association with Morgan, and the opportunities open to its students as part of the implementation of the partnership agreement.
To do this, we travelled to Malvern to hear first-hand about the partnership and its benefits – for both the University and the company – from Steve Morris, the current MD of Morgan.
Alongside Steve’s contribution, our film also featured input from several key figures at the University involved in the scheme, such as Deputy VC Professor Ian Oakes and David Tucker, Principal Lecturer in Motorsport Engineering.
Our corporate film – which you can see above – also highlights the positive impact the partnership has had on the University’s Racing Team (UWR), who currently own the Morgan Plus 4 Babydoll vehicle and have raced it in the 2016 AR Morgan Challenge competition.
