Bumblebee Conservation Trust
We were “buzzing” when we teamed up with one of the country’s largest housebuilders for some promotional video productions all about its partnership with a bumblebee charity!
Founded in 1974, Redrow PLC is today one of the largest companies in the UK, with the housebuilder listed on the London Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
In 2006 it joined into a partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust – the only national charity in the UK dedicated solely to the conservation of bumblebees – to boost numbers of the insects across the UK by using the green spaces at its developments to create special habitats.
One such special habitat is at the firm’s housing complex in Saxon Brook, Exeter, where Redrow have planted a fruit orchard and created a nature trail across the development as part of its work alongside the Trust.
We were invited by the team at Redrow to join them in Exeter for some promotional video productions designed to highlight their work at the site!
For this project, we created a pair of videos for Redrow which you can see above/below.
Our video above is a two minute effort where we hear from figures such as Gill Perkins, CEO of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, and Nicola Johansen, Redrow Sustainability Manager, about the Saxon Brook site, the partnership between the two organisations, and the importance of bumblebees to us all!
Alongside their thoughts our video features cutaway footage of the site itself, appropriate background music, and “lower thirds” graphics to introduce speakers.
Our video below is a 30 second creation designed specifically for use on Redrow’s social media channels, and is an edited version of our main video which still manages to get all its key points across!
Our thanks to the team at Redrow for giving us the opportunity to travel down to Exeter and see their site for ourselves. For more on Saxon Brook, visit this webpage.
