The aim of this company video for Briggs Equipment was to show how the values are the DNA of the business. The video shows the people behind the values and will help any new recruits understand the company values in non-boring way.
After much deliberation amongst the creative team, we pitched our vision for the company video. This was to show the company values being hand-drawn and painted onto a large canvas, but instead of using hired actors, using real Briggs employees. The video team hired a large empty warehouse leaving just a table with a blank canvas waiting to be painted on. The team created an atmosphere by using lighting and fog to give this company video it's distinct and creative look.By choosing this concept we felt it was a way to ensure we see real interaction from real employees around working towards the values as a team.
Mike Chinn, our creative director, had this to say about the project:
We wanted to show employees at Briggs Equipment from different backgrounds and areas of the business working together on one thing. We felt painting and crafting the values would be a nice moment for the team to collaborate on.
We filmed it in a warehouse to give us the ability to do more with lights and fog. Shooting in an office could’ve set the fire alarms off and would’ve been too small! It turned out well and we’re really pleased with the video.
Our client had some glowing words for us:
This project represented our most complex brief to date and the Stone’s Throw team gave it their full focus. They understood the aim of the video and the creative interpretation they devised was a great proposal.
The reaction to the finished video, initially from our directors and then from the wider business, has been universally positive and has been immediately adopted as our most high profile, externally facing messaging. The quality of the completed film looks outstanding on the huge screen we have in our main reception.
I was delighted by the close collaboration from Stone’s Throw including on the day of filming, being receptive to observations and adjustments throughout. The quality of work that Stone’s Throw has delivered on a number of projects has helped to embed an understanding with our business about the power of video.
We also shot a behind the scenes video which you can see below to give you a small insight into the day!
