TyTek Medical
Our Brief

We want viewers to understand what is in the PTENSYS Bag and show some key features in a product video so they can quickly understand how it works.

TyTek Medical is a manufacturer of compact, pre-hospital emergency medical supplies for trauma care. Their proven emergency medical products were engineered for military medics to provide emergency first aid and are in use all over the world.

PTENSYS (Platinum TEN SYStem) is a customised system that helps you to act quickly and give life-saving care to patrons and visitors while waiting for the emergency services to arrive.

Our Video

TyTek had recently launched the PTENSYS bag and wanted to showcase the product and its contents in order for viewers to understand each component of the bag. The problem they faced was that the equipment needed to be understandable to anyone potentially using any of the life saving materials while waiting for the emergency services.

If there was no prior knowledge or context to any of the materials, they can look a little bit overwhelming, which would not be an ideal mindset for a first responder using the bag in its intended situation.

The impact of this lack of understanding could potentially be fatal. Each second is critical in situations where the bag would need to be used, so a full understanding of the materials is vital.

To tackle this problem, we created an animated product video to explain the contents of the bag.

The animated section of the product video showed an example of where the bag would be best used; in this instance a terrorist attack at a sporting event that gave context to the rest of the video.

A member of the TyTek team dropped off one of the bags at our office (we still can’t believe they trusted us with it) and we were able to get all of the different shots of the bag in its different stages, to follow the script we had written for the voiceover.

There was a whole video and smaller versions for each of their social media channels, displaying each area the bag could treat (airways, bleeding and burns), the LED lights installed in the bag and going into greater depth on each.

Sarah from Stone’s Throw Media said

“The tytek project was an interesting one as it meant that we learnt a lot about the function of their products in order to ensure we created an accurate break down of what the contents were in their bags. We created multiple videos for tytek which allowed us to focus on certain items as well as the bags in which they came, in order to make informative instructional videos for their user”

The video went down well with the client, with Director Matt Eccles saying

“A Five Star Service… They worked closely with us at TyTek Medical to make what is essentially a very complicated device, easy to understand in the product video we asked them to produce”
