We joined forces with the marketing team at a university for a series of video productions designed to help them promote one of its campaigns!
For this project our client was the University of Wolverhampton - one of the largest public universities in the West Midlands with a rich heritage of providing academic opportunities for students dating back nearly 190 years.
A particularly important time of year for the University is “Clearing” - the period where universities offer applicants without an existing offer in place an alternative route onto an undergraduate course.
For the 2019 instalment of Clearing, the University unveiled a new marketing campaign across the West Midlands and turned to us for assistance with an integral part of it!
Entitled “Discover what you’re made of”, the University’s campaign ran throughout the month of August and utilised traditional advertising methods along with digital methods such as targeted online adverts and promotion on its social media channels.
For this project, we created the three videos you can watch above/below which formed a key pillar of the digital side of the campaign.
Based around the University’s second-year student Rachael, a lecturer, and employee Brian, our videos were designed to convey how the University is a fantastic option for those going through the Clearing process, and how it had helped the three discover what they are “made of”!
To achieve this goal, our videos featured footage of the three using various “outside the classroom” facilities on campus such as a gym and quiet spaces for socialising with others backed by upbeat music.
As part of our work for this project we also created edited versions of these videos coming in at 15 seconds long each - the perfect things for the University to use on social media.
