Meet the Team (Gurpreet)
Welcome to the eighth instalment of our ‘Meet the Team’ blog posts – a series where we reveal a little bit more about our video production team.
This time around we’re meeting our Animation Assassin, Gurpreet!
1) Favourite TV programme?
“I don’t really watch TV all that much, but I’ve got to say Daredevil!”
2) What job did you want to do when you were younger?
“For a really long time I wanted to be a vet. I’m a huge animal lover, however the sight of blood doesn’t really sit well with me. Can’t really have me fainting on the job.”
3) Dream holiday destination?
“Easily Orlando, Florida, and going to all the Disney parks. I had the pleasure of going 7 years ago and would love to go again!”
4) Who would win in the fight and why – a duck sized lion or 50 lion sized ducks?
“A duck sized lion! With a bite force of 600 psi and considering ducks don’t have teeth, got to hand it to the lion. Plus, a tiny lion would be really cute!!”
5) Favourite film?
“This is a hard one but, probably Infinity War at the moment. Being a huge Marvel fan so it has got to be one of their films.
“I do also really like The Amazing Spiderman 2, probably cause controversy over this but I thought it was great!”
6) If you were to host a dinner party, which 5 people from history would you invite?
“Walt Disney, Stan Lee, Steven Hawking, Gal Gadot, Sia”
7) Favourite animal?
“Snow Leopards! So fluffy and have you ever seen one hunt?! So majestic…also, my dogs. Can’t forget them.”
8) Favourite food?
“Pizza? Too many to choose from…”
9) What’s the BEST thing about working for STM?
“Being new to the team kind of feels like your first day at a new school. You don’t know anyone and everyone else already knows each other so naturally I guess you’d feel alone.
“However, I was pleasantly surprised to not feel like that. Everyone in the team is really nice and friendly. They’re not too serious and always willing to help which is reassuring.
“I also think it’s pretty rare to find a group of people who work so well together, so I’m really grateful to be part of such an amazing team.”
10) Tell us a (clean) joke
“What do you call a baby bear with no teeth?”
“A gummy bear!”
