We joined forces with the University of Wolverhampton for a brace of video animations concerning its School of Architecture and Built Environment.
Housed within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the School is one of 18 the University possesses, and has in recent times proved to be a popular destination for students keen to start a career within the sector.
As such, the School looks set to be on the move in the near future, with the University aiming to base it at their new Springfield Campus - a £100m jointly-funded redevelopment of the former Springfield Brewery site in Wolverhampton city centre.
To help publicise the courses the University offers within the School – and future employability opportunities within the built environment sector - we teamed up with the institution to create two video animations for them.
Our videos focused on two individuals – Anthony Hatfield and Sheila Quinn – who had different stories to tell.
Anthony is a senior lecturer on building surveying at the University. In his video, we examined how his interest in the profession arose from childhood, and how he’s now part of a team at the institution offering innovative courses for the students of today keen to follow in his footsteps.
Sheila is a quantity surveyor for the construction company Carillion PLC, and has been working for them since finishing her A-Levels. In her video, we explored how the sector has employment opportunities for both apprentices and university graduates in a variety of roles.
Our two videos – which you can see above/below – combined live shots of our two case studies with rotoscope animation to give them a visual flourish.
